Questions, answered honestly
The things people ask us most, including the ones about cost, the gate (or lack of one), and how we make money. Do not see yours? Call (800) 555-0188.
Is this free? Does it cost me anything?
Yes. The quiz, your result, and talking to an advisor are all free. We never charge you anything, and we never hide your free result behind a request for your email or phone number. There is also never any obligation to purchase an annuity or any other product.
Why don’t you make me enter my email to see my result, like other sites do?
Because we don’t think general education should be held hostage in exchange for your contact information. Your likely match type is free, immediate, and visible on the page the moment you finish the quiz. If you want help from a licensed advisor after seeing it, that is a separate, clearly optional step.
If it is free for me, how do you make money?
We are paid a referral fee by the advisor/agency we work with, only if you choose to share your contact information and that leads to a client relationship. You never pay us directly, and the advisor’s fees and compensation (standard for any licensed insurance professional) are disclosed to you separately as part of any product you consider.
Is my information shared with anyone else?
We only share your information if you choose to submit the optional advisor-contact form. In that case, it goes to our one advisor/agency client, who may place it with a licensed agent in your specific state as part of their placement network. We do not sell your information to third-party marketing lists or lead-resale networks.
What areas do you serve?
Nationwide. The quiz asks what state you live in so that, if you choose to talk to an advisor, your information can be placed with someone properly licensed to discuss annuities where you live.
Am I obligated to buy anything?
No. Taking the quiz only shows you a free educational result. Submitting the optional contact form only connects you with a licensed advisor for a conversation. You decide whether anything they discuss is right for you, and you are never obligated to purchase an annuity or any other financial product.
What exactly is an annuity, in plain terms?
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company. You give the company a lump sum or a series of payments, and in exchange it provides guarantees, such as a fixed interest rate, growth linked to a market index with downside protection, or a guaranteed income stream for life. The right type depends entirely on your goals, timeline and other savings.
How accurate is the quiz result?
It is a starting point for education, not a personalized recommendation. The quiz maps your stated priority (guaranteed income, fixed growth, or growth with no market risk) to the annuity type built around that priority. It does not know your full financial picture, your other income sources, or your health, which is why a licensed advisor conversation matters before any decision.
Who will I actually talk to if I ask for help?
You will be connected with our one client advisor/agency relationship, who either holds an active license in your state directly or works through an affiliated IMO/FMO network to place your information with a properly licensed agent in your state. This is one real relationship, not a lead auction sold to multiple companies at once.
Still have a question?
The fastest answer is a short, free conversation with a licensed advisor who can speak to your specific situation.

Annuities are long-term insurance contracts issued and guaranteed by the issuing insurance company, not by AnnuityAdvisorMatch, and are not FDIC insured, not bank deposits, and not insured by any federal government agency. Guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurer. Surrender charges, withdrawal limits and other restrictions may apply. This site provides general information only and is not personalized financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Talk to a licensed advisor about your specific situation before making any decision.
